Northeast
Textiles, Inc. was started in 1985 as the industrial/military
fabric converting division of Warren Buffett's Berkshire
Hathaway Textile Mills. When Buffett closed the Mills
in 1989, Northeast continued to convert industrial and
military fabrics, through major mills both domestic and
international.
In 1995, Northeast acquired the Fox-Wells Division of
Doran Weaving Mills. Fox-Wells was a converter of fire
retardant sheers, solids, and prints for the hospitality
and health care industries, essentially selling to jobbers,
other converters and workrooms.
In 1997, we embarked on a direct marketing program through
a rep network to designers, specifiers, and purchasing
firms. We have introduced several hospitality and health
care print programs, developed new ground cloths, and
increased our sheer and woven lines extensively. Seven
years ago, Northeast opened, in Clover, SC, a modern design
center and print plant including in-house stylists, digital
cad design, and sample printing capabilities, as well
as in-house transfer printing up to 133 inches. These
modern capabilities have enabled us to offer custom designs
and re-coloring of stock designs with industry leading
quality and turn around times.
Northeast is consistently first in the industry in identifying
exciting and unique fabrics, such as our unique Eclipse
Blackout fabric. Northeast is one of the largest print and
sheer converters in the United States. Please feel free
