About Us

Northeast Textiles, Inc. was formed in 1985 as the industrial/military converting arm of the Berkshire Hathaway textile organization. In 1985, we became independent, still specializing in military and industrial fabrics converted through major domestic and international resources.

1995 was marked by the acquisition of the Fox-Wells division of Doran Textiles, a major converter of flame retardant sheers, woven fancies and prints for the hospitality and health care trades marketed through jobbers and workrooms. Moving forward, in 1997, we embarked on a direct marketing program to designers, specifiers and purchasing firms.

In 1999 we opened a modern design center and print facility complete with in-house styling, digital cad design and sample printing capabilities. We were then capable of vertical transfer printing up to 133”, enabling us to offer custom design and re-coloring with industry leading quality and turnaround time. We now offer our prints on 31 base fabrics in widths from 54" to 126".

Our 14 year growth pattern has led us to search out the most mutually advantageous mills and fabrics for the best market applications.

The room-darkening Eclipse Plus has quickly earned a place as the industry standard, offered in 27 stock colors with the capacity for custom dyeing when needed. Most recent developments include an all-new Sheer Book VII that will complete the transition of 80 SKU’s to all 118” fabric.

Also offered will be 30 new 118” colored sheers for specialty projects. We’ve entered the upholstery arena with two domestically produced collections of over 20 patterns. As with our prints, custom work has become a very important part of this line.

Shower curtain fabrics now number 4, and custom double-sided printing is now available on these and our compatible cubicle fabrics.
